Re: UAW Picketing at Toyota Stores
Recent news reports indicate that the United Auto Workers Union will picket Toyota dealers nationally and run a banner campaign at the stores to pressure Toyota Motor Corp. to allow the UAW to organize its U.S. manufacturing operations. Click here for a recent Automotive News article addressing this issue.
Your Association wanted all of our members to know that GCADA in conjunction with the firm of Millisor and Nobil, has prepared a memo providing specific guidance for our Toyota-Scion and Lexus dealers in the event the UAW chooses to picket one of their dealerships. Click here to view the memo.
GCADA is also aware that the UAW plans to direct similar organizing campaigns towards Honda, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen in the future, and we will be prepared to give those dealerships further guidance when and if it becomes necessary.
