New Vehicles at Cleveland Auto Show
Will Have a Greater Impact on the Market

Cleveland, OH (January 16, 2015)
– When the 2015 Cleveland Auto Show opens its doors on March 7, 2015 at the I-X Center in Cleveland, visitors will see more vehicles that will have a greater impact on the marketplace than ever before. With the industry registering yet another year of growth, automotive manufacturers are taking more risks and bringing more innovations to market than in years past.

The Cleveland Auto Show presented by AutoTrader.com, also marks the start of the spring automotive selling season in Northern Ohio. Featuring pre-production and production vehicles from the world’s auto manufacturers, the show is held annually at the I-X Center. It is considered one of the top five automotive shows in the nation and is rated as one of the strongest shows in the nation in terms of influencing the market it serves across Northern Ohio.

“As we approach the record sales levels we saw prior to the recession, the competition between manufacturers for market share has become intense,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the Greater Cleveland Auto Dealers’ Association and president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “In the past few years, we have seen a growing trend of manufacturers bringing new innovations to the market in the form of pre-production vehicles, rather than concept vehicles which might not ever see the showroom floor. With a renewed sense of optimism, and facing increased competition, manufacturers are bringing more new models to market than ever before. The technological content and advances in the automotive industry is truly staggering. You can see them all at the Cleveland Auto Show.”

In addition to more than 750 new vehicles in the one million plus square-feet of exhibit space on the show floor, the Cleveland Auto Show will also offer its attendees the chance to get behind the wheel with the return of both outdoor Ride-N-Drives from major automotive brands, and indoor Drives including the always popular Camp Jeep and the new Ram Truck Indoor Drive that debuted at last year’s show.

Now in its 17th year, the Classic Car Competition is back with a new wrinkle. On Saturday, March 14, following the Classic Car Competition Awards ceremony, Rubber City Classic Auto Auction will hold an auction of 40-50 vehicles as seen during the show. The competition for these classic and vintage vehicles should be fierce, with registered bidders coming from across Northern Ohio as well as surrounding states.

Millionaire’s Row, a selection of cars with healthy six figure price tags also returns, offering Show visitors the chance to see vehicles many people can only dream about owning. Throughout the Show’s nine-day run, there will be plenty of family fun and entertainment with celebrity appearances that include the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and more.

Additionally, each day of the Show attendees will be given a chance to win a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, the Official Vehicle of the Show. One finalist will be chosen daily and invited back to the Show on Sunday March 15, when each finalist will be given a key. The finalist with the key that opens the door of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata, takes home the grand prize. One lucky first-prize winner will win one year’s worth of free gas for the home, courtesy of IGS Energy. Mail-in entries are accepted at: The Cleveland Auto Show, Official Car Giveaway, c/o The Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association, 10100 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville, Ohio 44141.

The Cleveland Auto Show runs from Saturday, March 7 through Sunday March 15 at the I-X Center in Cleveland. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors and preteens. Children six and under get in free. Parking is free for the duration of the Show, courtesy of your franchised new vehicle dealers.

The Cleveland Auto Show is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you would like more information on the Show, or to purchase e-tickets online with no convenience charges courtesy of Huntington Bank, head to www.clevelandautoshow.com and click on “Buy Tickets”.
