Camp Jeep and the Ram Truck Indoor
Test Track Return to the Cleveland Auto Show

Cleveland, OH (January 27, 2015) – Jeep and Ram, two brands known for rugged performance on- and off-road, are teaming up for a repeat performance of last year’s excitement with two separate indoor ride events at the 2015 Cleveland Auto Show. A perennial favorite of Cleveland Auto Show attendees, Camp Jeep is now in its 11th year, while this is the second year for the Ram Truck Indoor Test Track.

The Cleveland Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com opens its doors to the public on Saturday, March 7 and runs through Sunday, March 15 at the I-X Center in Cleveland.

“Camp Jeep is one of the Cleveland Auto Show’s most popular attractions,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “It’s not only a great way to see what a Jeep is capable of doing off-road, it’s also a fun ride, and provides an excellent view of the Cleveland Auto Show floor.”

Camp Jeep is the ultimate indoor off-road driving test, an interactive adventure zone that allows riders to experience a Jeep's on- and off-road capabilities. Professional 4x4 drivers chauffeur participants in Jeep products around a course that includes a thrilling hill climb where passengers experience Jeep's traction capabilities while climbing the 18-foot high, 35-degree Jeep Mountain, the icon of the ride. Riders are over 22 feet off the ground when they sit on top of Jeep Mountain.

The track also includes a section of terrain simulating fallen logs measuring 18 inches in diameter and a 30-degree wedge to demonstrate the vehicle’s body articulation. Attendees will experience the adrenaline rush of looking nearly straight up or straight down as they navigate the obstacle. The ride is about five minutes long.

For its part, the Ram Truck Indoor Test Track event is also an interactive adventure zone where professional drivers demonstrate the capabilities of Ram trucks. The track features a hill climb as well as other obstacles that test the ground clearance, stability and ride quality of Ram trucks. Participants for both events must be at least 44 inches tall.

“These two great indoor events are fun for the whole family,” adds Vitantonio. “We are pleased to have them both back for the second consecutive year.”

Tickets for the Cleveland Auto Show are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors and preteens. Children six and under get in free. Parking is free for the duration of the Show, courtesy of your franchised new motor vehicle dealers.

The Cleveland Auto Show is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you would like more information on the Show, or to purchase e-tickets with no convenience charges courtesy of Huntington Bank, head to www.clevelandautoshow.com and click on “Buy Tickets”.
