Rubber City Classic Car Auction Returns

January 27, 2016 – The Rubber City Classic Car Auction is returning to the Cleveland Auto Show this year, expanding its lineup and reprising its role as one of the most exciting attractions of the Show.

“Following the enormous success of last year’s event, we have invited Rubber City Classic Car Auction back and are affording them even more space in the South Hall to display cars. This way, people can preview them during the Show before the models go on the auction block,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “Classic car auctions have become increasingly popular over the past few years, especially with television exposure from organizations like Mecum and Barrett-Jackson. Last year, the auction helped the Cleveland Auto Show attract record crowds on the last Saturday of Show. We expect the crowd to be even larger and the cars to be even more impressive this year.”

“Last year was far more exciting than we could have ever imagined,” adds Heather Marks, director of marketing for Rubber City Classic Car Auction. “In addition to being on display for the duration of the Show, holding the auction at the Cleveland Auto Show also affords both consigners and bidders plenty of perks, like free parking, including trailers.”

Rubber City Classic Car Auction is currently accepting cars for consignment under both reserve and non-reserve options. Held at the I-X Center, the auction is slated for Saturday, March 5 from 2:30 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Vehicles selected for auction will be on display for the duration of the Cleveland Auto Show.

If you’re interested in consigning a vehicle under either a reserve or non-reserve option, contact Rubber City Classic Car Auction at 855-722-9630, or e-mail them at info@rubbercityclassic.com.

Bidder registration will take place on-site in the West Entrance lobby of the I-X Center, which is the main entrance for the Cleveland Auto Show, the day of the auction. After 1:30 p.m., registration will take place inside the South Hall. Registration costs $50, which includes two tickets to the Cleveland Auto Show as well as VIP seating for the Rubber City Classic Car Auction.

The Cleveland Auto Show opens its doors on Friday evening, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. and runs through Sunday, March 6. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors and preteens. Children six and under get in free. Parking is free for the duration of the Show, courtesy of your franchised new motor vehicle dealers.

Show hours are: from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. the first Friday evening; from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. If you would like more information on the Show, or to purchase tickets online with no convenience fee courtesy of Huntington Bank, head to www.clevelandautoshow.com and click on “Buy Tickets”.
