Cleveland Auto Show Culminates with Grand Finale of the Official Vehicle Giveaway Contest
March 7, 2016 – In the end there were just ten finalists and two cars. That gave each person a one in five shot to win. It was also an equation for excitement, as the Cleveland Auto Show ended its nine-and-a-half-day run with the Grand Finale of its Official Vehicle Giveaway Contest.
Joe Small of Massillon took home a two-year lease of a brand new 2016 Honda Civic, while Mary Schneeberger of South Euclid took home a two-year lease of a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The vehicles were supplied by the Northern Ohio Honda Dealers and the Northern Ohio Toyota Dealers.
“I can’t believe I won, I’m still shaking,” said Schneeberger, after her key fob opened the door of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. “This is a great truck.”
“I only registered about a half an hour before they shut it down on Sunday,” added Small. “My wife and I were looking at the Civic, but now we have one!”
“On behalf of the Northern Ohio Honda Dealers and the Northern Ohio Toyota Dealers, I would like to congratulate Mary Schneeberger and Joe Small on winning the two Official Giveaway Vehicles of the Cleveland Auto Show,” said Chuck Gile, chairman of the Cleveland Auto Show. “I hope you enjoy these two great vehicles, which are among the top in their respective lineups. Both vehicles also represent an excellent value for your dollar.”
The vehicles will be delivered to each of the winners at Motorcars Honda and Motorcars Toyota in Cleveland Heights.
Each year the Cleveland Auto Show ends with the finals of its Official Vehicle Giveaway Contest, most years giving away a single vehicle. This year, the contest featured a two year lease of both the 2016 Honda Civic and the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Each day the Show was open, a single finalist was selected and invited to come back on the Show’s final day. Each finalist randomly chose a key. The finalist with the key that opened one of the vehicles took home that vehicle as the Grand Prize of the 2016 Cleveland Auto Show.
“The Official Vehicle Giveaway Contest is one of the most exciting events of the Cleveland Auto Show,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the Show.
“As the Show wraps up, I would like to thank every automaker, dealer, exhibitor and attendee for making the 2016 Cleveland Auto Show such a success. We’ll see you again next year!”
