GCADA Donates $50,000 to the Harvest for Hunger campaign

Dear Member Dealers:

As a clarification, the contribution made yesterday was to the Harvest for Hunger campaign.  Harvest for Hunger is a partnership between four food banks that serve 21 counties in Ohio, including the Akron Canton Foodbank, Mahoning Valley Foodbank, North Central Foodbank and Cleveland Foodbank. When charitable donations are made from our Foundation, significant weight is placed on the reach and impact of the contribution to the communities where our members conduct business. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Today, on behalf the GCADA Members, the Automobile Dealers' Educational Assistance Foundation donated $50,000 to the Cleveland Foodbank. For the second straight year, the funds will be used as a part of a larger holiday matching gift challenge, where every dollar donated from the public from now until December 31 will be matched. Along with a donation of $25,000 from the Dominion Foundation, funds will be matched until a total of $150,000 is raised to fight hunger across Northeast Ohio.

Colin MacLean of Elyria Hyundai and Ken Ganley of the Ganley Auto Group joined GCADA staff to volunteer and present the check to the Cleveland Foodbank staff, while WEWS Channel 5 and FOX 8 covered the event.

We appreciate your continued support, and events like these reflect our commitment to giving back on behalf of the GCADA membership.
