News Release: November New Vehicle Registrations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cleveland, OH – According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), franchised new motor vehicle dealers in Northern Ohio closed November with a total of 16,240 sales. While this results in a decrease of 2.67 percent compared to the same month last year, many holiday weekend sales are yet to be registered.
Year to date, sales in the region total 200,598 through November 2024, a 2.97 percent increase over the first eleven months of 2023.
“November was a difficult month for both new and used vehicle sales, with continued uncertainty in the market,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the GCADA. “After the conclusion of the election, and with affordability being addressed in the form of lower interest rates and higher incentives, we believe a single digit increase in new vehicle sales will remain through the end of the year.”
Chevrolet continues to be the best-selling brand in Northern Ohio, with 2,212 new vehicle sales in November. Ford maintains second place, selling 1,888 vehicles in the month. Honda held onto third with 1,383 sales, followed closely by Toyota with 1,343. Kia completes the top five brands in the region, selling 1,239.
