URGENT Affordable Care Act Exchange Notice Requirement
In order to maintain compliance with the ongoing Health Care Reform requirements, you must give your employees notice about the upcoming health exchanges/marketplaces by October 1, 2013.
Dealers participating in the GCADA Group Health Plan may click here for the notice meeting the requirements. Dealers who are NOT in the GCADA Group Health Plan may also use this notice or obtain the notices provided at The Department of Labor website, under Notice to Employees of Coverage Options: http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/healthreform.
Employees hired after October 1st must receive the notice within 14 days following their start date. The notice must be given to all employees, including temporary, seasonal, part-time, and full-time workers, even if the worker is not eligible for coverage under the health plan sponsored by the dealer. It does not need to be given to COBRA participants, retirees, or dependents.
Be sure to keep a copy of this notice along with a check list of each recipient.
Should you have any questions or would like to request a GCADA Group Health Plan quote, please contact the GCADA Group Health Department. Your prompt attention is appreciated.
