Experience family fun at the Cleveland Auto Show

Cleveland, OH (February 8, 2011)—When the Cleveland Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, opens its doors, attendees will be afforded the opportunity to see the auto industry’s most cutting edge production and concept vehicles. They’ll also be treated to a full slate of family fun and entertainment.

“In fact, it’s one of the best family entertainment values in the Cleveland market,” says Louis A. Vitantonio Jr., president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “In addition to more than 1,000 vehicles on display in more than 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space, this year’s show includes a complete slate of celebrity appearances and family fun.”

The Cleveland Auto Show opens to the public on Saturday, February 26 and runs through Sunday, March, 6. Children six and under are free.

Family Day, sponsored by Medical Mutual, is Monday, February 28, when children aged 15 years or younger get in free. There will be an interactive Kids Zone with face painting, balloon animal artistry, and bounce houses.

That night Cleveland Cavaliers Anderson Varejao and Jamario Moon will be at the Buick GMC display from 6 to 8 p.m. On Thursday, March 3, Cleveland Browns star running back Peyton Hillis will be at the Show in the Ford display from 6 to 8 p.m. Then on Friday, March 4, also from 6 to 8 p.m., come see OSU Football greats Ross Homan, Cameron Heyward and Dane Sanzenbacher, sponsored by IGS Energy.

If you’re in the market for a vehicle and would like to have a little fun while you’re at it, go to the AutoTrader.com booth. They have a new interactive computer game called Driver’s Choice, a high-energy driving style game that can help anyone in the market find the perfect new car. It’s free to play, and high scorers are eligible for a variety of great prizes. The high scorer wins a new iPad at the end of the Show!

If you’re serious about buying a new car, then the Show is the place to go. In addition to Jeep brand’s indoor ride experience called the Jeep Rocks & Road tour, Subaru, Kia, Toyota, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC will all host Ride-N-Drive events. Check ClevelandAutoShow.com for more information. There’s no better way to experience a vehicle than to get behind the wheel. And there’s no better place to see all the new cars in one place than the Cleveland Auto Show.

Are you serious about the environment? Check out the Green Gallery, which features the latest hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles. Don’t forget to visit the Classic Car Show if you’re a fan of classics and hot rods 25 years or older.

While you’re at the Show, don’t forget to check out the new, completely redesigned Chrysler 200 sedan, the Official Car of the Show. Then head over to the Dodge booth to check out the new Dodge Durango, the Official Truck of the Show. If you’re feeling lucky, register to win the Chrysler 200 at the Official Car Giveaway booth. Mail-in entries are accepted, too.

Each day, a finalist will be chosen and invited back to the Show on Sunday, March 6, when the finalists will be given a key. The finalist with the key that unlocks the Chrysler 200’s door takes home that beautiful grand prize. One lucky first-prize winner will win one year of free gas, a value of $2,000, from IGS Energy.

That’s just some of the family fun and entertainment that’s brewing at this year’s 2011 Cleveland Auto Show. You can buy tickets online or get more information on upcoming events at www.clevelandautoshow.com. And remember, parking is always free at the Cleveland Auto Show, courtesy of your Northern Ohio New Motor Vehicle Dealers!
