GCADA Foundation Announces $50,000 Gift to Local Food Banks
GCADA’S FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES $50,000 GIFT TO LOCAL FOOD BANKS
Dear Member Dealer:
Based on the recommendation of the Association’s Educational Assistance Foundation (ADEAF), I am proud to announce the donation of $50,000 to the Harvest for Hunger campaign, which benefits all four area foodbanks: Cleveland, Akron/Canton, Lorain and Youngstown.
The Harvest for Hunger campaign will use the funds as a part of a holiday matching gift challenge that includes an additional $25,000 from the Dominion Foundation (click here to view the fundraiser letter for more information on participating). Every dollar donated by the public from now until December 31st will be matched until a total of $150,000 is raised to fight hunger across Northeast Ohio.
To launch these fundraising efforts, on Tuesday December 4th at 10:00 a.m., representatives from our Executive Committee will present a check for $50,000 to the Cleveland Foodbank. If you have the time, we invite you to join us and our media partners at the Foodbank’s headquarters at 15500 South Waterloo Road in Cleveland.
The Cleveland Foodbank would also like to extend an invitation to our members to donate some time and volunteer on that date. If you’d like to volunteer on December 4th, please contact Sara Panza at spanza@gcada.org or by calling 440-746-1500. Last, but not least, I’d like to thank the 2012 ADEAF board members for authorizing this generous donation, as well as providing their time and insight this past year.
