“GROW YOUR OWN”
APPRENTICE SERVICE TECHNICIAN GRANT CLOSING

In an effort to assist Member Dealers in grooming technicians to become long-term staff members with established careers in their dealership, the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Educational Assistance Foundation Board launched the “Apprentice Service Technician Grant” in the spring of this year.

We successfully sponsored 10 recent graduates from Stark State, Cuyahoga Community College, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Wyotech technician program.  In fact, all 10 individuals are still employed at member dealer locations.  While many members of the Association took advantage of this program to “test drive” rookie technicians, this program will close for the year effective 11/1/14. 

Each year after the Auto Show, the Association’s Foundation (ADEAF) will evaluate the need for such a program for its membership.
