FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cleveland, OH – Northern Ohio franchised new motor vehicle dealers reported a total of 18,734 sales last month, representing an increase of 7.72 percent when compared to the same month in 2023. According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), year to date sales in the region are now up 2.87 percent over the prior year’s registrations.
“September sales bounced back from a slower August,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the GCADA. “With interest rate reductions and upcoming end to election season, we hope that the fourth quarter will close out the year on a positive note for Northern Ohio auto sales.”
Chevrolet remains Northern Ohio’s best-selling brand, with 2,514 new vehicles sold in September. Ford holds onto second with 2,032 new vehicle sales in the month, followed by Honda with 1,871 in third place. Toyota jumped into fourth with 1,472 sales, just ahead of Kia’s 1,466 sales.
